Stage management bags have been packed, pre-show lists have been double checked, Swans are standing by and now it is officially GO time! Cue The Performance Corporation’s premiere of Across The Lough in the beautiful picturesque landscape that is Lough Lannagh in Castlebar. I am completely overwhelmed by the local welcome and assistance we have received since our arrival onsite Monday. Thank-you to all the wonderful people in the West, your kind spirit is a force to be reckoned with.

We are so fortunate to be staying onsite in the charming Lough Lannagh cottages which have provided their own light entertainment…

The company are staying in two cottages named “Bilberry” and “Elder” which have become better known as “The Bilberry Boys” and “The Elder Ladies”. (The ladies had NOT counted on this happening!) However, we now have a  Lieutenant Lowe and Sea Marshall Ormonde among the female force!

I am honoured to have spent the past couple of weeks with such a hardworking and dedicated team and would like to say a huge well done for battling extreme weather conditions and making sure this production could open today.

Wishing all my wonderful colleagues Louise Lowe, Tom Swift, Steve Blount, Aisling Ormonde and Sean Henderson the very best of luck and I’ll see you all on the other side!
