On Monday morning we welcomed an exciting mix of artistic professionals to our home in Castletown House to officially kick off the SPACE Programme 2011! While some of our international participants endured rail strikes and random baggage inspections in order to arrive in time, there was no stopping the thirst for artistic discussion to start!
Following introductions and a much needed caffine injection, the conversation rolled and the ambitious ideas began to flow freely…. Day 4 in Castletown House and there is an exciting aroma of artistic development floating around the ornate surroundings.
We took in some of the fascinating works by Romuald Hazoume in the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday morning which resulted in a very inspirational afternoon. With quirky composers, daring scientists, accomplished writers, genius photographers & motivating choreographers weaving ideas together the limits are endless!
